1/31/2008 At 4:00pm the adult male Snowy Owl was glowing nicely in the sun about 500-600 m east of Emery Ave. about 0.6 mile south of 170th. This is the same area I've found this bird on 3 occasions and always in mid to late afternoon. I'm not aware that anyone has found it early in the day. I know I haven't.
I also found and photographed a very dark imm. Rough-legged Hawk at 210th and Goodwin.
