A male Barrow's Goldeneye was in the Mississippi River at Reads Landing (Wabasha Co.) early this afternoon (1 March, 12:30 p.m.). This is likely the same male that has been reported in this general area for the past several weeks. Earlier (10:30 a.m.) in Prescott, WI, the male Harlequin Duck was on the MN side of the river near the railroad bridge (Washington Co.); he has been consistently found in this area for 11 weeks now.
