Hello all, The overwintering Boreal Chickadees (2 of them) are still present at our lake cabin near Park Rapids. Also present of note for all of January and February (and still here) are three Oregon race Dark-eyed Juncos, one American Tree Sparrow, and a female Red-bellied Woodpecker. Also, a huge flock of about 100 American Goldfinches.
From Park Rapids, travel east on MN34 about 3 miles and turn south on CR20. Travel south on CR20 for 4 miles and turn west on 150th St. Travel west on 150th for about 1 mile and turn left on Circle Pines Drive. Look for the address 14745, about .25 mile from where you turned onto Circle Pines Drive. Ours is the brown home with green trim and roof. Park at the top of the drive or on the road. You will see the feeders on the south side of the house. In Park Rapids there are about 50 Trumpeter Swans along the Fish Hook River where it comes out of Fish Hook Lake. Horned Larks are really starting to move into Clay County. Spring is not far off! Good Birding! Patrick Beauzay Fargo, ND
