The first GREAT BLUE HERON has returned to the rookery at the Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park. One lone bird was standing on a nest last night silhouetted against the sunset. Also saw a BARRED OWL. The owl posed very nicely for us so we could get a good, long look. Beautiful bird.
