This Saturday afternoon from 2pm to 5pm we birded in northeastern Blue Earth
and southwestern LeSueur counties. We found very little open water except for
the Minnesota river. Most of the birds we did see have been previously
reported. However, the highlight of the day at 4:45pm was a flock of 33
American white pelicans in flight over Cleveland which is located on Highway 99
about 5 miles east of St Peter.
