Today I was able to get to the Bass Ponds in Bloomington where I seen a
Red-breasted Merganser. It seems to be sticking around there. I have seen it
several times always in the center, largest pond. After leaving there I went
to Black Dog Lake near the East outlet and seen the dozen or so Ruddy Ducks
that have been hanging around there. Also while viewing those a Horned Grebe
made an appearance and stuck around the Ruddys for a bit until diving and
appearing a ways away. I was able to get a few pics off in the harsh light and
distance of the grebe.
