This afternoon we were startled to see a Woodcock (Snipe) busily working a drainage channel down the hill outside our dining room window in broad daylight and in the middle of Minneapolis (Prospect Park). First time we have seen this bird here. He (she) were in the presence of several Fox Sparrows.
