It has been about 5 years since I got two new yard birds in one day at my home in Brooklyn Center. A single Sandhill Crane soared for a half hour over Twin Lakes in Brooklyn Center. As I watched this bird gain height, 45 White Pelicans in three chevrons glided through my airspace. I bet the small planes out of Crystal Airport were having a fit, as the Pelicans seemed quite low.
