A Red-necked Grebe was the highlight on half-frozen Lake Como in St. Paul this
evening. Other waterbirds seen include 8 Common Loons, Pied-billed Grebe,
Red-breasted and Common Mergansers, Wood Ducks, Shovelers, and Gadwall.
Bufflehead, Ring-necked Duck, and Lesser Scaup were present on the small ponds
in the golf course, just across Lexington Ave.
