Yesterday about 5:15 PM a flock of maybe 40 white pelicans caught the sun and
my eye soaring high overhead. They were moving in a circle and at the same
time rapidly moving north-it took them only 3 or 4 minutes to move from
directly overhead to out of sight. There were several hawks using that same
air. I'd guess they were red shouldered hawks, but I'm not sure. I hadn't seen
hawks and pelicans travelling together before.
