First of years: 4/24 Barn Swallow, Bonaparte's Gulls (98), Milaca Sewage Ponds
4/23 Orange-crowned Warbler, Kunkel WMA (Mille Lacs County) Shorebirds still spotty (basically just Yellowlegs, one Pec reported). Only single White-throated Sparrow to date (and I'm out 1-2 times daily). No Red-necked Grebes amidst numerous Horned yet. Nathan had single Pine Warbler early in week. Thoroughly enjoyed a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker "discussion" this morning (four in two adjoining trees does not make for harmony). 94 species for week here (Sherburne & Mille Lacs Counties, excluding the lake).
