Gary E and I went out this a.m. to visit the Kappers Ponds (with written permission) here in Fillmore County. We saw lots of White-Throated Sparrows, several Field Sparrows, a Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher, a Palm Warbler and many Coots. Earlier at his place I saw my first ever Rufus-sided Towhee along with an early Rose-Breasted Grosbeak. . We also searched Forestville Park later and turned up zilch.
