I visited Carlos Avery today and there were 100's of ringed-necked ducks, perhaps 700 mostly in Pools 9 and 10 20-25 pied billed grebes, perhaps 40 coots, 5 N shovelers and a few bw teal about 10 to 15. There were also a few Canadian geese about 15 and mallards perhaps about 10. I also spotted three flying larger birds, but I they were at distance and because I was using a scope or driving ,I didn't get a good look at them, but by the way they flew I think I say a bald eagle, a harrier and a sand hill crane. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
