As we know, the birds don't read the books. Right now, there is a Glossy Ibis
at bear River National wildlife Refuge in Brigham City, Utah.

Subject: [mou] rare bird

I have birded for 40 years and never seen a male
western tanager, but I have one eating the oranges I set out for the oriels, He
is a male in full breeding colors--I am in Paynesville, 30 miles west of St.
Cloud .. according to the books he is way east of his normal
range.
