There was a single male Ruddy Turnstone at Purgatory Creek (Eden Prairie, Hennepin County) this afternoon. There is a large exposed mudflat that is equidistant between the Lifetime Fitness Center and the blind, and it was darting between the numerous Caspian Terns. (Viewing would be best, due to the lighting conditions, from the blind.) Besides that, there were only 3 other shorebird species. Also, the number of warblers dwindled to 9 species today. Good birding!
