Got some very good looks at a male prothonotary warbler at Fort Snelling State
Park this morning. What a beautiful bird.
It was in the same area where it was sighted last year - follow?the signs into
the park?to the?gift shop (in the visitor center).
Take the path from the far end?of the parking lot?across from the visitor
center, at the T take a right and go under the bridge. The warbler was in the
trees above the deadfall area on the right?near the path. ?
also heard and seen?in that general area - a very noisy morning -
warbling vireo
great crested flycatcher
baltimore?orioles
redstarts
house wrens
belted kingfisher
ovenbird
