Last night around dusk a Whip-poor-will began calling near the campgrounds at Rush River County Park south of Henderson in Sibley County. It can probably be easily heard by parking near the flagpole at the entrance to the campgrounds. The bird called fairly consistently throughout the night, occasionally being joined by a Barred Owl.
