This morning around 7:45 the White-eyed Vireo at Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve was easily heard and seen by myself and several others. The bird was about two hundred yards south of marker 29 in the "clearing" with small trees along the path. As Bruce described in his post yesterday, the bird would sing loudly for a minute or two and then quit singing for a longer period of time.
I talked with John Hockema later this morning, who said that he and others heard and saw the bird in the same area around 10:00 AM. Bob Dunlap, Carver County
