I did not relocate the WE Vireo this morning at 9:30am. I am now 0/5 when
chasing birds this spring and summer. I did see some other interesting birds
and mammals including:

Alder Flycatcher- 2 singing at Hanrehan
Osprey- Hanrehan
Blue-winged Warbler- Hanrehan
Blue-grey Gnatcatcher- Hanrehan
American White Pelican- A small flock at Purgatory Creek
Caspian Tern- 5 at Purgatory Creek
Least Sandpiper- Small flock at Purgatory Creek
Lesser Yellowlegs- 4 at Purgatory Creek
Spotted Sandpiper- Purgatory Creek

Other notes:
I watched a coyote walking around the wetlands at Purgatory Creek!

Very exciting was the RT Hawk that swooped down and picked off a duckling that
flew about 3 feet off the water to avoid attack across from the blind at
Purgatory Creek!

I also have a question of the ID of the four flycatchers that were foraging in
the willows and the small shrubs near the water at Purgatory Creek. They had
almost no eye ring and had a rather long beak. I am pretty sure they were
either Willow or Alder Flycatchers. The call sounded to me like a pwit. Does
anyone know what type of flycatcher typically forages near the blind at
Purgatory Creek?
