Last year we requested from State Fair officials a table at the DNR building but were denied. As a result of this decision Audubon did not have an official space at the fair last year. We did however put the call out to our state fair volunteers for help staffing the MOU booth and were able to help fill some of the time slots. If someone from MOU is coordinating a bird table at the fair let me know and I will put the call out for volunteers. The person who had the responsibility for the State Fair Booth finds that he is unable to do the job. We still have time, but we need a lead person or several leaders to take charge. Arrangements with the DNR for space and tickets for volunteers and the biggest is to sign people up for time slots. If you think you could take on some of this activity, let me know.
