August 4, 2008 While leading a group for MRVAC to Camden State Park, Kathryn Young, observed a Blue Grosbeak near the town on Lynd. Other birds observed at that location were about a dozen Lark Sparrows and Orchard and Baltimore Orioles and what appeared to be a very early Blue phased Snow Goose.
Blue Grosbeak - Lyon County - 7 - 8:00am - The singing male Blue Grosbeak was observed in the tree line to the SW of the town of Lynd Sewer ponds, which are located NE of the town of Lynd along CR 23. There is a gravel access road to a large pond South to the Sewage ponds and the bird was observed in the tree line along this road, where it begins to bend North.
