Sometimes the best migrants fall right in your lap, or simple fly under your car while you are trying to park.
As I pulled into the parking area behind our commercial building in downtown Bemidji an interesting looking sparrow spooked from the ally garden I planted with Black-eyed Susan. The bird flew under the front end of the car as I put it in park. I walked to the back of the car and knelt down to see if the bird was still underneath. Surprise! A Le Contes Sparrow patiently waited while I walked back to the front of the car to retrieve my binoculars from the glove box for a better look. It must have blown in on the vicious wind we had today. Kelly Larson The Bagley Farm -Clearwater The Bemidji Loft -Beltrami Minnesota Eschew Obfuscation! The middle of Nowhere is Somewhere!
