We found a tame, domesticated pigeon that has a band on its leg that says
"Strathclyde Genetics 2006 Galbraith 89140". After researching on the Internet
I have found out that some guy is selling breeding pigeons to farmers and he
buys back the offspring to be sold as meat, but he is currently being
investigated by the Iowa Attorney General. We captured the bird and are
keeping it in a cage right now because it is very thin. I also saw on the
Internet that other people have found these birds in other parts of the country
- Ohio, Michigan and New Jersey to name a few.

Has anyone heard of this guy before and any suggestions as to what we should do
with the bird? We thought of taking it to the Roseville Wildlife Rehab, but
it is not a wild bird.

Please reply to me off post.
