Brian Smith just called to report that the Sabine's Gull that had been present at the sewage lagoons in Sleepy Eye is now dead. He found the carcass laying on the rocks near the water of one of the ponds. There was no evidence of physical harm or injury, so the suspicion is that this bird died of an illness. Which makes sense considering it was seen sitting on the berm for most of yesterday.
