Today, a Northern Goshawk hit our window so hard that it knocked a picture off the wall inside the house. It was able to fly up into a tree where it recovered and flew off. It was either a juvenile or female. It sat on the branch for about 5 minutes, giving us great looks at it, including the white eyebrow.
LOTS of juncos feeding in our yard now, as well as purple finches, goldfinches and assorted woodpeckers. The trees are about 90 % turned in our yard now, but other areas it is about 70%.
