I had several answers or inquiries about the 42 cent stamp.? Bob Parsons was
the first to suggest what it might be.? Don Beimborn was the other birder - a
personal friend.? Both suggested a PIPING PLOVER.? Don also shared that it is
on the Great Lakes Dune sheet of stamps.? I had to look at Sibley's book to
find a picture of the bird with wings spread.
