Birders should be aware that the resident at this location has had serious verbal confrontations in the past with those who have been birding near his house along Stickney Rd (which is a public county road). Therefore, birders looking for this N Hawk Owl should only do so with discretion and from a distance. My advice is to first look for the other hawk owls which have been in the Sax-Zim Bog before trying for this one. Kim Eckert

Several folks saw a Northern Hawk Owl this afternoon, 12/26, in Sax- Zim. It was last seen .22 miles south of the intersection of Stickney and Sax Rd (CR28). After arriving at Sax on CR 7, drive west 2.8 miles on Sax Rd (CR 28) to Stickney Rd, then south .22 miles. It was in the very top of the large spruce tree behind the Blue house with the very elaborate no trespassing sign on the garage.

Mike, this marker's for you!
