Subject: Austin Pine Siskins

Good Morning:  We have been observing large groups of Pine Siskins off and on
in our backyard around our bird feeder and our several clump white birch trees
the past few weeks.  Today they were "dripping"  from the trees and feeders. We
estimated a minimum of 100 Pine Siskins, probably more.  Mixed in were a few
Goldfinch and House Finches.   They love to "hang" in the birches, eating the
seeds.  We estimated 50 in one clump birch alone.  Thanks,  Bob Jessen,
Austin,  Mower County
