Thank you, to all of you who wrote me about the failing Black Dog pelican; Rob Daves, special thanks for clarifying the situation. As I suspected, having seen two pelicans still there several weeks ago, there were two. One died, but the other is still apparently mobile. If the remaining bird should start looking sickly, I let my friend know. Linda Whyte
