Hi All--I got a call this afternoon that a Barred Owl was perched over a
local feeder.  Not much light for photographs on this gray day, but I got
nice photos.  The owl spent a lot of time looking down at the ground below
the feeder.  My hosts and I did not see it take prey, but there are a lot of
siskins and squirrels at the feeder.

Also at that page are two photos of a leucistic Black-capped Chickadee that
I had in Aberdeen, South Dakota, many years ago.  One would have been
tempted to identify it as a Boreal Chickadee.  But the young bird molted
into a normally plumaged adult.   (I don't think I shared these photos with
you before.  If so, I apologize.
