I was out guiding this afternoon with a group of 4 birders from Indiana and Illinois.
Highlights: - Iceland Gull (1st cycle) WI. Landfill - Thayer's Gull (2 adults and 1 1st cycle) WI Landfill - Glaucous Gulls - Northern Hawk Owl: Airport Rd and Rice Lake Rd. The owl was north of the intersection behind some rental garages on the east side of Rice Lake Rd. - Great Gray Owl: Hwy. 61 express lane 1/2 mi. north of the Ryan Rd. This is the first sighting along the north shore this winter season for a Great Gray Owl. * Looked for the Hawk Owl on Jean Duluth Rd & Beyer Rd and could not relocate it.
