Joel Dunette and I ventured northward, and here were our findings:

Attempted to look for the G-C Sparrow from 9:35am-10:30am without luck. Since
there was virtually no bird life at Brad Snelling's feeders, we decided to walk
around the neighborhood a bit, where we were treated with 1 Am. Robin, C.
Redpolls, Common Ravens, and even a W-W Crossbill seperated from her flock
(which was the only one we found today.) As Don Kienholz mentioned earlier,
there are better feeders eastward with better brush coverage. For those
planning to look for it later on, I would suggest looking around the
neighborhood.

We relocated the Barrow's Goldeneye** (same site as yesterday), although he
easily got lost with the thick Common Goldeneye flock. Common and
Red-breasted** Mergansers also present.

All of these birds were seen in Sax Zim bog, at all of the same locations from
recently observations:
2 Northern Hawk Owls**
male B-B Woopecker**
male Am. Three-toed Woodpecker**
3 B-B Magpies
2 Boreal Chickadees (Admiral Rd feeder)
4 Pine Grosbeaks (Nichols Rd)
3 N. Shrikes

We missed out on Great Gray Owls (and we were looking thouroughly, twice along
Nichlos Rd.), Gray Jays, and Evening Grosbeaks.

** I got some decent photos. E-mail me if you wish to view them. I may put one
up eventually on the Showcase.
Good winter birding!
