The airport contracts with a business that does a trap-and-release of
the snowies, and has done a few this year. However, it's likely new
ones will move into that territory once it's opened up, because it's a
favored and favorable habitat. That's why some of us who live not far
from MSP make regular checks on the airport, and report when we find
them. Some folks report when they DON'T find them, but I choose not to
do so, because I've been known to miss the camouflaged beauties. In
other words, if you see a positive report, pursue it; but if you see a
negative report, don't be too discouraged. I'll probably make another
check today, especially since the report of the snowy on the east bank
at !5th and University---no telling if THAT one might have found the
airport, or some other interesting playing field!
