The airport contracts with a business that does a trap-and-release of the snowies, and has done a few this year. However, it's likely new ones will move into that territory once it's opened up, because it's a favored and favorable habitat. That's why some of us who live not far from MSP make regular checks on the airport, and report when we find them. Some folks report when they DON'T find them, but I choose not to do so, because I've been known to miss the camouflaged beauties. In other words, if you see a positive report, pursue it; but if you see a negative report, don't be too discouraged. I'll probably make another check today, especially since the report of the snowy on the east bank at !5th and University---no telling if THAT one might have found the airport, or some other interesting playing field!
