My wife and I recently rented "The Great Debaters," which is set in northeastern Texas in 1935. One scene shows cattle in a pasture with two--you guessed it--Cattle Egrets, a species which was first seen in North America in 1941 (in south Florida), not well established in the eastern U.S. or nesting in Texas until the 1950s (source: Birds of North America online).
Other than that, it's a good movie. Julian ---- Join or Leave mou-net:http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives:http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
