I went searching for the White-winged Crossbills that had been reported east
of Chatfield and north of Rushford (in Fillmore County) and, although I
didn't find them at those locations I did find a small flock on Hwy 30 about
a half mile east of Hwy 250 (between the two mentioned sites). They were in
shorter spruce trees that were right next to the south side of the road.

I also found more crossbills in Houston County east of Rushford on Hwy 16.
They were in the spruce on the NE side of the road between Hatchery Drive
and Ferndale Road (roads that go SW from 16).

I didn't find the crossbills Dedrick Benz located in Caledonia but on the
other hand I didn't spend much time there. However, I did get lucky and
spotted 5 or 6 Common Redpolls below a feeder located at a house on the
northern end of town on a short dead end street (Pine) just north of
Hackney.
