We have a late addition to the list of MOU Field Trips for 2009: February 21 - SE MN(Winona County) with Carol Schumacher - Birders will meet at 8am and bird into the early afternoon. This is designed for those who have not birded this area(including novice birders) and for intermediate level birders. Besides the typical feeder birds, possibilities include Golden Eagle, Rough-legged Hawk, White-winged Crossbills, Common Redpolls, Tufted Titmouse, Carolina Wren, owls and early waterfowl if there is open water. Participants must pre-register, be prepared to car pool and dress for cold weather. This trip is free but will be limited in size. Contact Carol Schumacher at 507-452-2482.
