On a 30 mile excursion this morning in the Mapleton-Good Thunder area
frequently saw from i-6 Horned Larks at a time, generally on
windswept roads bordered by open fields. A flock of Robins was
foraging the road ditch bordering a Wildlife Management Area just east
of Good Thunder. Chrismas Day 1 Red Poll, Jan. 20 I was excited to see
6, Jan. 29th 18, today close to 100. Meanwhile the Pine Siskins have
all but disappeared.
