Greetings from the FOREST along the Straight RIver in Rice County:

I'm sorry, I too often hit some key(?) which eliminates my messages and I have
to start all over.

Kirsten and I birded north to Farmington, in Dakota County, then west to
Highway 23 and south to home.

Kirsten and I saw a BALD EAGKLE in Rice County, just south of
Dundas, sitting along an eagle nest used last year.

In Farmington we saw the Eurasian Collared-Doves.  First one, then two, then
three and finally SIX were seen in the same tree. We talked with a neighbor who
was taking out garbage.  He said there used to be more. That they make quite a
bit of noise when they coo together.

Then we saw five Horned Larks, in three different locations
