carcass that has been reported by several birders in the last few days
including today.

White-winged Crossbills are found along Arkola Rd feeder and the Admiral Rd

Feb 10 Highlights:
- Ruffed Grouse in several locations in the bog * Good numbers this year in the
bog
- Rough-legged Hawk on CR 29 near Bachelor Square Rd just south of Meadowlands.

* Again there is still plenty of Hoary Redpolls, Boreal Chickadees, Common
Redpolls, WW Crossbills, Northern Shrikes to be found either at the deer suet
feeders which are placed in good spruce tree stands where the crossbills are
feeding on. The residential feeders like Blue Spruce Rd feeder is still
feeding Evening Grosbeaks.

* Hawk Owls are easily found along McDavitt Rd where I seen up to two
individuals. One bird is just north of the RR tracks near the south end of the
bog and the other is near the farm house about .5 miles north of the Sax Rd. I
also seen a Hawk Owl along CR 28 near the intersection of CR 7. I also had a
report there was a Hawk Owl near the Byrne's Greenhouse last Saturday along CR 7

* Great Gray Owls are getting very hard to find and it looks like most if not
all dispersed from the areas they were found regularly in the bog like McDavitt
Rd or Nichols Lake Rd.

Great Gray Owl reported sightings = 58
Northern Hawk Owl reported sightings = 65
