Day 2 with Ralph Morocco of Nebraska Lake Co Highlights:
-Spruce Grouse ( 6 males and 2 females ) on Lake County Road 2. All 8 of the grouse were 1 mile north of the Sand River pull off feeding on the road from 7:15am to 7:35am On highway 1 going east towards Ely, MN We found 1 bird .2 miles east of mile post 305, 1 bird .3 miles west of mile post 305 and 2 birds between mile post 302 & 301. Sax Zim Bog Highlights: - 2 Black-backed Woodpecker females were on the McDavitt Rd feeding in the area with all the foot paths going into the bog.
