With the fresh snow, I decided to try my luck at finding Gray Partridges this evening. Sure enough, the covey (8 birds) at the corner of 180th St. and Joan Ave. in Dakota County (Soutwest of Hastings) ventured into the open field on the NW corner of the intersection at around 5:15 pm and stayed there until I left a half hour later. This is the same location where Partridges were sighted several times back in January. Scott Loss St. Paul
