Present today (2/25/09) were; Swans (6) on Snelling lake (been there all winter) Barred Owl (1) at trailhead on Pike Island Red Shouldered Hawk (1) Hunting on meadow of Picnic Island WB Nuthatch (lots) Northern Flicker (2) point of Pike Island Hairy Woodpecker (2) Downy Woodpecker (several in several locations) Pileated (1 flying back and forth from Crosby to Pike Island) Bald Eagle (heard but not seen) Chickadees (many) BlueJay (1) Robins (lots everywhere) Red Tail Hawk (1) post rd exit Dozens of deer (dead and alive)
