Is anyone willing to sell a pair of used binoculars? My cousin is interested in
one; a beginner pair is fine.

But I do have a few birds to report: I talked with a FWS employee who saw a
Chipping Sparrow in Waseca County (12 miles south of Waseca, if I am not
mistaken) today. I asked him more about it, and he said he was within 15 yards
of it and noticed the bright red cap. When asked about any notable dot on the
chest, he said he did not notice one. Also at the same site was a singing
Eastern Meadowlark and a Northern Harrier.

The overwintering Fox Sparrow was seen again today at the MVNWR Visitor's
Center (Bloomington, Hennepin Co.) I also had a Brown Creeper that overwintered
in my neighborhood.

Numbers of Cackling and Greater-white Fronted Geese, along with a Ross's Goose
and numerous Sandhill Cranes, have been reported in WI over the past 1-2 weeks.
Keep your eyes open...
