Went out and snooped around Prairie Island at Winona Friday afternoon. Good 
numbers of waterfowl appearing!

Along the road heading out from Riverview Drive:
Mallards
Ring-Necked
Gadwall
Northern Shoveller
American Wigeon
Bufflehead
Canada Geese
Great Blue Heron
Killdeer
Eastern Bluebird
Red-Winged Blackbird

Above the Spillway:

Tundra Swans (huge flock in flight)
American White Pelican (slightly smaller flock just below the swans!)
Redheads
Canvasback
Lesser Scaup
American Coot

On the road out to the Verchota Landing:

Common Merganser
Hooded Merganser

Bald Eagles in several locations, including three (2 juvie, 1 adult) at 
Verchota on the ice quite close to the parking lot.
