Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge
Long Meadow Lake Unit
Old Cedar Ave. Trailhead
4:00 - 6:30pm

Waterfowl migration is picking up on Long Meadow Lake.  There were 14 
species of waterfowl observed including a pair of Greater Scaup.  There were 
also several flocks of Tundra Swans, observed in flight over the lake.  Here 
are a few of the species observed by our group this afternoon.

Tundra Swan
Greater Scaup
Bald Eagle - 15, including a pair on the nest SW of the observation 
platform.
Killdeer
Wilson's Snipe - one
Pileated Woodpecker
Fox Sparrow
Song Sparrow
