Large flock of Turkey Vultures this evening at 6:25, around 32 birds, give or take a couple, right over our home in SW Austin. We have a large summer resident flock but of course don't know if this group is those returning. Seems a little early for this large a group. We have had a couple of Vultures around the past few days. Saw a small flock of American Tree Sparrows at the J.C. Hormel nature center today plus my first Hermit Thrush. Bob Jessen Austin
