Hello, I am offering a unique Ornithology course at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, MN. The focus of the course is field identification of birds, but behavior, anatomy, distribution and ecology will also be discussed. The primary means of identifying birds will be via point counts and bird banding. This course is great for undergraduates who need a biology elective, or 'non-traditional' students. Students wishing to audit the class are encouraged to attend (auditing is attending the class, but not receiving credit or a grade for it). Birders who want to know about ornithology are particularly encouraged to register. Registration ends Apr 30. The course announcement is below. I can also send you a flier if you have a place to post it.
