Hi Folks,
I'll be in MN from April 9-13. I frequently hop over to Crex Meadows,
WI to bird. Are there any suggestions for other areas within about 2
hours of the Twin Cities that would be worth a visit? Also, is there
enough access to Carlos Avery this early in the spring to make it worth
a visit? I'm aware that you guys (like us) have been pounded with snow
recently, and many areas may not be accessible.
If this makes you feel any better, our mountains have received over 100
inches of snow in just the past week. Great for skiers, bad for birders
who couldn't get to the sage grouse lek. . .
