I'm glad to see that someone else saw a winter wren. I was out in my yard yesterday (southeast part of St. Paul, overlooking Pig's Eye Lake) and I heard the distinctive, beautiful, tinkling song of a winter wren. I don't think there's any other song like it around here. I looked and looked, couldn't find it and began wondering if I had imagined it. It was one, loud, clear song and then it was gone.
