Hi, All The International Crane Foundation's annual crane count will be held at 5:30-7:30 AM, on Saturday, April 18, this year. This is a multi-year, multi-state crane count that relies on volunteers to count cranes by county.
In Chisago County, we are looking for volunteers to cover a couple of existing count locations, to identify potential new count locations, and to help cover new locations by counting cranes on count day. It's only 2 hours, it can be a lot of fun, it is a chance to be involved with a citizen science project, and it helps us to understand the abundance and distribution of cranes in Minnesota.
